Fact Check: 933 Athletes Injured after the vaccine, 617 dead.
goodsciencing.com is maintaining a list
We have heard and seen many news reports of athletes injured after the vaccine. What is the truth? Fortunately goodsciencing.com is keeping a list.
Jo Nova’s blog reports that there was a conversation on Sunday Agenda about Brownlow medallist Ollie Wines being hospitalised after a booster shot.
~ We had Michelangelo Rucci on AWL on Friday night and he said that Wines said that there’s a ward filled with people with similar symptoms in Adelaide to Ollie Wines, so nausea, heart issues, so there has to be something more to it.
~We’re not anti-vaxxers, we’ve all done our due diligence but our booster shots all that sort of stuff, there has to be some study done on this, not just in the sporting sphere, but in a community sphere
The denial in the media began soon afterwards.
Wines spoke for the first time on Monday.
“I’m 100 per cent back to normal, thanks to the Calvary staff the doctors and nurses there,” he said.
“They really looked after me, and now I’m 100 per cent fine. There were a few little issues but they have been rectified now.
The International Olympic Committee in Lausanne did a study of reported cases of sudden cardiac death in athletes. They found only 1,101 cases between 1966 and 2004.
Another study by Maron et al identified only 1,866 deaths between 1980 and 2006 of athletes with cardiac disease, with a prevalence of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Averaging the yearly results of both studies gives us 50.5 deaths per year, range is 29-72 (corrected see erratum)
There are now 933 injuries and 617 deaths attributable to the vaccines.
In the past year, since May of 2022 there have been 601 deaths.
Approximately 12 times as many deaths. One could argue that in the 1980s to the early 2000s there were less people playing sport, the following chart indicates that it’s a new phenomenon, not a seasonal phenomenon. But it’s very hard to argue with such a large increase.
What is particularly damning about this chart is the increase in 2020; the only explanation for such a large increase is that it’s a real phenomenon. The low numbers at the beginning of 2020 can’t be ascribed to the lockdowns, because the lockdowns did not start until March; and April to June is higher anyway than January, February and March. And the only cause for this that I can think of for steady rise to the peak in January and February of 2022 is the Covid vaccines. If you can think of a better explanation put it in the comments below.
This chart is slightly out of date:

ADDENDUM - FIFA PLAYERS
I was thinking about this - the better way to measure this would be in a particular industry, where the number of players is relatively constant; in effect an isolated data pool. This chart shows the deaths of association players who died while playing according to the Wikipedia page. There is a very large effect in 2021 - around twice as many deaths as any other year. 2020 is interesting - presumably because of the lockdowns no one was playing soccer.
Change log
Yearly Figures were doubled originally for previous studies 1966-2004, and 1980 -2006. The correction means there is a much more glaring difference between the historical data and 2021.
