If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the chosen those days will be shortened.
Fellow Christians, I was thinking myself about the second coming of Christ, our Messiah, and how we want him to return; but then again, we want God to show mercy towards our nations and ease the suffering of those who suffer and endure under the present age.
Do we pray for Jesus to return? Yes, of course, we want him to return. Do we pray for God to ease the sufferings of people, and ease our sufferings and comfort us? Yes of course. I was wondering if this was double-minded.
It is not, of course, for God cuts short the days of the end, for the sake of the ‘chosen’ - God sees us suffering between the now and the not yet, and he understands that there is only so much we can endure.
Brings to mind this old Amy Grant song; this album brought a lot of comfort to me “back in the day”.
Thank you and God bless you, from Sydney.
