“God save our Gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen.”
Noble and gracious were two epithets entirely appropriate for Queen Elizabeth. She always exhibited grace and her faith was evident in her public statements, sense of humour and her poise in difficult situations.
When I grew up, the Queen’s picture was in every school classroom, and in every church hall, and town hall, and God Save the Queen was the national anthem of Australia, which we sang every week at the school assembly. In cub scouts and boy scouts we swore oaths to the Queen as the head of our country and we believed that God had appointed her, regardless of the fact that practically speaking the Prime Minister made every decision affecting us, it was comforting to think of the Australia as a Christian country with a Christian Queen.
I believe she was a Christian, I believe I will see her in heaven along with so many others. Rest in Peace, Queen Elizabeth, you truly deserved to be called our gracious Queen.
Wow! What a diatribe! Sad...
The Queens death has many positives, all the shills are coming out from under their rocks with praise for a parasitical privileged individual who's done nothing but usurp power, hold trillions of dollars of land stolen from indigenous people and add nothing of value to this world. Now it goes to her corrupt son who's take the house of cards down with him, as dictated by his own bosses to usher in a different kind of monarchy. One controlled by the technocrats. I think the Queen's death has many positives. We see those who defended freedom and our true God given rights come out from their hiding spots, thinly veiled by their rhetoric. What a blessing.
