This is a challenging book that looks at how Christians can reclaim the culture from “the BugMen”, and start rebuilding a culture worth living in, or at least to keep the embers of Christendom alive.
It’s well worth reading.
Some things he says about the household in Graeco-Roman Roman society are interesting.,.. He makes another point, that I agree with, which is that Christians need to familiarise themselves with the literature and philosophy of Christendom, which is sadly more and more unknown to most people.
I’m inclined to think that knowing the Bible is the central most important part of any attempts at rebuilding, or at least, strengthening what remains.
