This is what the Australian misinformation/disinformation legislation really means:
Media will be allowed to lie to us with impunity.
Government will be allowed to lie to us with impunity.
Education will be allowed to lie to our children with impunity.
We will not be allowed to speak up online, unless we want to risk losing our houses, our possessions, and our ability to earn a decent income.
If you get a huge fine in Australia, you must come to a payment arrangement with the Fines and Enforcement Registry that takes into account what you can ‘afford’ to pay in relation to your income and possessions. The Government is able to look into your bank account and see what you earn. You will be financially hobbled for the rest of your life if you are found guilty of purveying misinformation or disinformation. If you don’t comply with the payment arrangement, you can be imprisoned.
But the media can get away with lying to everybody.
The government can get away with lying to everybody.
The TGA, AHPRA, the State governments can all get away with lying to everybody.
The schools can lie to our children as much as they like and tell them black is white, male is female, good is evil, and evil is good.
And the universities can say what they like, be it misinformation or disinformation.
They all told us the vaccines are ‘safe and effective.’
It was only the voices of the small independent media, the bloggers and video makers and podcasters, and the substacks like this one that told us the truth.
Well, Australia, you’re about to lose your voice completely.
And because middle class Australians are petrified of losing any of the convenience and comforts they have obtained by amassing mountains of debt, this icing on the cake of tyranny will slide on through with zero opposition.
We have become idiots, our grandparents would ashamed.
