Connections between Hunter Biden, Jeffrey Epstein, and Nathan Wolfe

My what a tangled web we weave.

Did Jeffrey Epstein initially fund the organisation that later became Hunter Biden’s Ukraine project Metabiota, a project that was initially called the Global Viral Forecasting Institute, later on called Global Viral (https:globalviral.org, now defunct), and now has morphed into the Laboratory for Complex Systems?

The connections between Hunter Biden and Nathan Wolfe are real and involve big money.

As you may already know, the leaked emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop show that he, together with his company Burisma, was involved in funding Metabiota.

Virologist Nathan Wolfe, who founded both Metabiota and Global Viral (initially Global Viral, which was split in two to mean that Metabiota could its own specialist slant; it was in more than 20 countries¹ ) had his own website once, which is still accessible on the Library of Congress’s Wayback Machine. The proof is in the upper right hand corner; he was founder of both Metabiota and Global Viral.

Was Nathan Wolfe the one who came up with the idea of gain-of-functioning wild viruses from other species to make them infectious to humans?

Nathan Wolfe actually seems to have originated the idea in his book “The Viral Storm” that we can stop pandemics before they begin, by gain-of-functioning innocent wild animal viruses, to make them infectious to humans, and making the cure, just in case that pathogen jumps the species barrier in future. Sort of like slapping the horse on the rump to make it bolt then shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted.

As far as I can tell, Nathan Wolfe himself was actually the originator of this insane idea. I have not read anything before 2012 that speaks of this plan, and 2012 certainly seems to be when companies began doing this kind of research.

And Nathan D Wolfe’s book, “The Viral Storm” had enough credibility at the time, March 2012, that it led to two Ted talks, and merited a review in the Lancet.

HIV, severe acute respiratory syndrome, and pandemic influenza A H1N1 are startling reminders of our vulnerability to emerging infectious diseases; indeed, even Hollywood film-makers seem to share this concern lately. In his book, The Viral Storm, Nathan Wolfe explores the origins of pandemics and the bold notion that we might soon enter an era in which pandemics could be stopped before they even begin.

Wolfe’s company Global Viral had 35 workers at one stage, all travelling the world like merry minstrels, pandemic pied pipers, looking for viruses to collect in order to hand them over to others who would do gain-of-function research on them to make them infectious to humans.

They received a lot of funding from Doctor Fauci’s NIAID and the NIH.

Peter Daszak, one of the scientists who was responsible for funding the Wuhan lab, is indeed a co-author with Nathan Wolfe on an important paper looking at Coronavirus diversity around the world, written in 2017², which came out of the PREDICT project, which seems indeed to have been a project that was directly trying to put into practice Nathan D Wolfe’s ideas of collecting viruses, in order to study them and ‘find out’ if they might jump the species barrier easily, by genetically engineering them to jump the species barrier.

Did Epstein fund Nathan D Wolfe?

The short answer is, we don’t know.

However, as the Exposé article mentions, Nathan D Wolfe does indeed acknowledge Jeffrey Epstein in his book; to me this doesn’t prove anything beyond the fact that the New York Jewish community was very close, and that Epstein may have given money to Global Viral, or may have simply provided contacts or advice; or in other words that high profile people in any particular time and place with a common interest know each other and that the huge pool of money going around was like a huge honeypot that everyone was happy to dip their fingers into.

WEF Young Global Leaders

Interestingly, according to Wikipedia Nathan Wolfe was also one of the WEF Young Global Leaders in 2010. Interestingly, since he was born in 1970, this would have made him 40 years old at this stage: hardly young I would think.

In 2020 he was still the chief executive officer of Global Viral, according to his biography on the Stanford website:

Now, Nathan Wolfe no longer leads Global Viral. In fact, the company has suddenly morphed into a different company with a more ethnically diverse leadership, that Nathan D Wolfe apparently has nothing to do with, called LRC the Laboratory For Research In Complex Systems, https://www.lrc.systems; presumably they inherited Global Viral’s funding and structure; you can check this for yourself: type in https://globalviral.org into the internet and see where it redirects.

And Nathan Wolfe’s research activity online with Metabiota seems to have ceased as of November 2022. What has happened to the guy? I can find out nothing about his recent activities on the internet.

I feel a little sorry for Nathan D Wolfe, actually: after his meteoric rise, his influence seems to have waned. I wonder if, behind the scenes, he is being blamed for giving everyone the great idea of gain-of-functioning viruses to be infectious to humans, just in case they jump the species barrier, and then trying to make treatments for them? It would be a little mean to blame this one guy for all the carnage, just for coming up with the idea in the first place; I think whoever tried to cover it up afterwards is far more culpable.

And he seems to have made bad friends, all the way along. Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein, Hunter Biden – all the people who helped Nathan D Wolfe on his way have turned out to be bad apples. I don’t suppose we should necessarily believe that Nathan D Wolfe is a bad apple as well: he comes across as very sincere in the interviews. We should give people the benefit of the doubt, I suppose.

Conspiracy?

My take on all this is that the world’s top virologists really believed that it would be a great thing to take viruses and gain-of-function them to be infectious to humans - (I know I’ve used a noun as a verb here, but I can’t think of a more concise way to say it) - and then to try to make the antidotes and cures just in case a natural example arose of this or that virus jumping the species barrier.

It certainly looks as though none of them read the novel “Jurassic Park”, or else they might have thought to themselves, “Could something go wrong?”

None of them seem to have asked themselves, “Could we be suffering from hubris?”

Rather, they seem to have been smiling at each other like idiots, rubbing their hands together with glee, saying, “What could go wrong?”

Stupidity rather than Conspiracy? Or Stupidity, then Conspiracy?

Well, I suppose when Fauci started trying to cover up what he clearly believed to be a lab leak (read my book) he was well aware that they had all jumped on the bandwagon of the PREDICT project in the past seven or eight years, and perhaps he suddenly realised in a flash of insight what a stupid idea it was in the first place to gain-of-function wild animal viruses to make them more infectious to humans.

In the story as it runs in my imagination, after he’d told the DOD and the FBI and the CIA (h/t to commenter Methane Malone below for reminding me of this), Fauci got a call from a particular billionaire, who said, “Anthony, don’t worry, I’ve just bought a little company that could manufacture a great vaccine for this virus.” In my fertile imagination Fauci replies, “It was made to be particularly deadly; I don’t think any other treatments will work. Not even Hydroxychloroquine,” and the Billionaire answers, “Well, make sure they don’t.”

Of course, this is just my imagination, and could be way off the mark.
